Heroes: Tim Kring Wants Wrap-up Miniseries
All hope is not lost, at least not for Heroes series creator Tim Kring. In a last ditch effort to save his axed series, Kring is planning to meet with NBC execs this month to discuss the possibility of bringing back Heroes for a wrap-up miniseries.
Heroes, which ended its fourth season last February with Claire showing the world the truth about her abilities, was one of the shows canceled by NBC last month due to high cost of production and diminished ratings. Since then, however, Kring has been looking into ways to conclude the storylines with a possible movie or mini-series.
If and when NBC agrees to the follow-up feature, Heroes will skip ahead a year or so to see the aftermath of Claire's revelation. "There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world," Kring tells TV Guide. "Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory."
Kring also reveals that Claire (Hayden Panettiere) will become a reluctant spokesperson for the abnormals, while Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will struggle with his dark side yet again. In what seems to be another jump the shark strategy, Adrian Pasdar is also expected to return though not as Nathan who died.
"I've spoken with everyone," says Kring, who seems confident about luring back the entire cast. "They're all eager to participate."
