How long do you wait before looking up a puzzle's solutions?

When I was much younger, I spent hours and hours solving puzzle games without ever thinking about running to an online source for the answers. OK, so there was no World Wide Web when I was younger, but you get my point.

While growing up, I found that the less free time I had, the more I would turn to online guides to find the answer after only a handful of attempts. Strangely enough, The Secret World has reignited my love for solving puzzles the old-fashioned way.

But what about you? Do you run to online puzzle solutions from the start, wait a bit to see whether you can solve them yourself, or swear off cheat sheets completely? Let us know!a

I'm a fan of puzzles, I do like trying to solve them but when I turn red, eyes pop out and I'm about to break my house I do check solutions

Then again sometimes in a game, if I'm so eager to move on to the next phase I wont hesitate to check after 5 to 10 minutes of trying

I play puzzles rarely but when i do i try to really finish them without going to youtube and cheat. Mostly Portal 2 it was really easy at the most levels eventually it came up to the more annoying ones. Took time to try figure a solution out so i used youtube few times. I look up on YT if i atleast putted effort into it but still can't solve it :p
