Euro 2012 begins today!

The opening matches then is:-

Poland vs Greece
Russia vs Czech Republic

It's not the most exciting of matches to begin the tournament but there are some interesting clashes here certainly. In the Polish game I think with home advantage and the striking options they will tightly grab a win, but don't expect alot of goals with this one. In game two my favourites for this group the Russians square off against the Czechs. The Czechs weren't as impressive in qualifying and I can't see them toppling the Russians today.

Last night the Dutch got stopped after conceding that one goal and pounding on the Danish goal all match to no avail. A poor loss for one of the favourites of the tournament in the group of death. The Germans grabbed a close win against a strong defensively Portuguese.

Tonight we have the reigning European and World Champions, Spain, kicking off their campaign against a rebuilding Italy which has had alot of negativity in their football leagues of late.
