What will keep you playing for years to come?
Guild Wars 2 is the MMO we all want to retire in. The biggest question of all however is what elements will need to exist to keep you playing for years to come?
For me it's the following:-
1) Deep world with lots happening
When all the content has finally gotton old, and I am slightly burnt out from PvP, what I will need a world where I can just "live in". Things happening that didn't happen yesterday, events taking place that will never happen again. I want to feel like I am in a living breathing world where the un-expected can happen at any given time. Although from what little I have seen I don't think GW2 matches MxO so far for that, I do think it has alot to offer in this department.
2) Open PvP without being mindless
With WvWvW we recieve this, and although I am ecstatic about this feature, which so far is the most appealing feature in MMOs currently, I still think I would like a fully open PvP server. That's wishful thinking however. Luckily, WvW, is big enough for alot of different adventures. Who knows, they may even build new areas and places to fight in.
3) A community
Every MMO has a community, few communities truly matter. For me, I want guilds to be "known", I want to know who the key players on our server is, and I want to get to know people. I think this so far, is where GW2 lacks. With the ability to swap servers, it kills the "regulars" feel. However WvW will offer so chances to meet people, but with a lack of communication tools, is it really that good?

Those are just a few things for me, what about you guys?

For me
1. A good community because hearing ''OMG YOU R SO FUCKING BAD U NOOB'' everytime i try pvp.
2. Abillites that you really need to think how to use
3. Quests not being too grindy. (It's hard to remove grindy but it would be great to make it less obvious)
4. Events that happen around the world. I walk and see a woman get raped! I can either choose to kill her and the raper or just the raper.
5. Well that you have choice. Choice makes it more fun as you can make it your vision of your character. Like TOR where you had the moral choices... Except many of the choices were kind of retarded
Well i think those are the main stuff i am thinking about. Maybe there is something else that i didn't think of today but those are pretty much it!
