Does anyone else feel that this is just an awesome thing about this game? Don't get me wrong, I would want to be a male, but I love this whole concept, what are your thoughts?

As someone who really enjoys character customisation, I'm not really big on this idea. But hey, it's up to the Devs at the end of the day.
