Re: PC upgrade :D
isn't gsync for gayvidia shit only, besides freesync is proven to be better option.

Re: PC upgrade :D
Yeah I read about Freesync being a bit better, but it's not like I run below 20 or above 140 fps anyway so. I got a 970 and not planning to upgrade it soon so thought that might as well try out Gaysync

Re: PC upgrade :D
well its prolly not much different from vsync but obviously the game sets the top frames and console ports fucks you up.

Re: PC upgrade :D
Seemed very similar to vsync from the little I read about it. Seems a bit over the top that you'd need a specific sort of monitor just to support it, but I guess that's cause it's new and not standardized yet.

Re: PC upgrade :D
Yeah it's essentially Vsync without having to play with settings to remove the stutter (sudden drop from 60 to 30 due to how vsync works) and input lag for every game. I actually experience some annoying stutter in GTA V and some other games which got me into buying this. Also my display is glare and I can't see shit during dark gameplay when it's sunny outside.

Re: PC upgrade :D
well stuttering in general is not really related to vsync unless you got shit gfx that just bottles under the heavy graphics settings, gsync is entirely 3rd party bullshit that tries to emulate vsync through like more expensive displays and dynamically adjusting to the frames i suppose.
freesync should work with both brands of gfx but obviously limited availability and expensive 4k shit.

Re: PC upgrade :D
GTA an other games aren't really optimised tho, so stutterring occurs whenever it goes from anything above 60 to anything below and vsync turns it into 30. I run with adaptable which makes max fps 60, and turns itself off below 60 but can cause tearing instead.

Re: PC upgrade :D
dunno tho some high end pc's run gta 5 at above 60 fps, so the uber rich peoples don't have much problems with it but the vsync when it dips below the 60's causes like slowing down and shit so you won't get consistent mouse aiming and shit.
better buy some 390x or some shit like titan xxx whatever the fuck they come up with next lol.

Re: PC upgrade :D
I considered that too, but kinda tired of upgrading GPU every year, and since I switched to nvidia thought that might as well try some new tech.
